LITTLE ROCK, ARK – The Potawatomi Fire moved to 9-0 on the season with a 137-111 victory over the Little Rock Lightning on Sunday afternoon.

“It’s always great to get a win on the road,” said Fire head coach Mark Dannhoff. “Little Rock is a tough team. They get up and down the floor in a hurry and take a lot of shots. When they’re making them, like they did at times today, they are a really good team.”

The Fire, for their part, made plenty of shots as well. The Fire shot 55.9% from the field and hit 11 three-pointers. The Fire also moved the ball recording 33 assists on the night. The Fire also rebounded well, grabbing 72 total rebounds including a team-record 55 defensive boards.

“I thought we managed things well,” said Dannhoff. “We moved the ball well and rebounded well. We had too many turnovers but, again, we were able to work through our own mistakes and get a tough road win.”

Isaiah Wade led the Fire in scoring with 21 points and six rebounds off the bench. Jay Hedgeman was right behind with 20 points on a perfect 9-9 shooting from the field. Hedgeman also finished with six rebounds and a pair of steals.

K.D. Moore put together his best game of the season with 18 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, and four steals. It was Moore’s first double-double of the season.

Chuck Guy recorded his first triple-double of the season with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 16 assists. Guy also had two steals.

Rounding out the starters, T.J. Maston finished with 17 points on 8-10 shooting. Maston also grabbed seven rebounds. Ricardo Artis II finished with 15 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Off the bench, Jeremiah Gilliam finished with 15 points and eight rebounds.
