SHAWNEE, OK – For the third straight game, the Potawatomi Fire scored at least 140 points as they beat the CYM Leopards 145-105 on Saturday night. The win was the Fire’s 57th straight win inside FireLake Arena.

“When we were focused, I thought we played pretty well,” said Fire head coach Mark Dannhoff. “It’s human nature to get complacent when you’re winning games like we are and I thought, at times, we got too complacent tonight. But when we were able to focus, we executed well on offense and were solid on defense.”

Three players recorded double-doubles for the Fire. Chuck Guy led the Fire with 25 points, 10 assists, four rebounds, and three steals. It was his fifth consecutive double-double. T.J. Maston had his first double-double of the season with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks. Willie Warren recorded his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 assists.

Overall, seven players scored at least 10 points. In addition to Guy, Maston, and Warren, K.D. Moore finished with 18 points, Ricardo Artis II had 15, Jeremiah Gilliam scored 13 and Jay Hedgeman finished with 10.

“Our offense is at its best when we move the ball and I thought we did that well tonight,” said Dannhoff. “Thirty-nine assists is a very good number and anytime you can that many guys in double-figures, you know you’re doing something right. We just have to make sure we make the right pass and don’t get too careless throughout the season.”

With the win, the Fire are now 7-0 on the year. Up next, the Fire will host the Dallas Stampede this Friday, April 3rd, at 7 P.M. You can watch a live stream of the game at tbltv.tv or listen live on KGFF Radio (100.9 FM/1450 AM).
