SHAWNEE, OK – The Potawatomi Fire are excited to announce the signing of Rickey Brice Jr. for the remainder of the 2025 TBL season.

Brice, a 7-1 center from Arlington, Texas, most recently played for the DFW Gorillas in the Texas Basketball Association. Brice previously played in The Basketball League for the Dallas Skyline. He has also played overseas in the Philippines.

“We are excited to bring Rickey Brice Jr. to the Fire,” said Potawatomi Fire general manager David Qualls. “He is an exciting player that I know will help us as we finish out the regular season and prepare for the postseason.”

In his short stint in TBL in 2022, Brice Jr. averaged 6.3 points and 3.5 rebounds. In 2024, Brice Jr. was named the Most Valuable Player of The Asian Tournament while he was a member of Zamboanga Valientes (Philippines).

“Rickey is an experienced veteran that will provide us with some needed depth at the center position,” said Fire head coach and two-time TBL Coach of the Year Mark Dannhoff. “He can impact the game defensively with his ability to protect the rim. He also rebounds well and can score both in the paint and in the mid-range. I believe he can be a valuable player for us moving forward.”

Brice Jr. joins a Fire team that is currently 14-1 on the season. Up next, the Fire host the 6-8 Little Rock Lightning this Friday night at 7 PM inside FireLake Arena.
