SHAWNEE, OK – The Potawatomi Fire improved to 3-0 on Saturday beating the Muskogee SkyKings 153-111. The win was the Fire’s 24th in a row and their 54th consecutive win inside FireLake Arena.
The Fire were incredibly efficient on the offensive end of the floor. The 153 points were the fifth most points in team history and the 63.4% field goal shooting was the fourth best shooting percentage in team history.
“I thought our offense was really good,” said Fire head coach Mark Dannhoff. “We talked after the Enid game about our spacing on offense and tonight I thought we really spaced the floor well. I also thought we did good job identifying mismatches and attacking those.”
Seven players finished in double-figures for the Fire.
Among the starters, Chuck Guy led the Fire with a season high 26 points and 11 assists for his first double-double of the year. Guy also had eight rebounds, two steals, and a block as he showed off his all-around game. K.D. Moore finished with 22 points and five assists while Jay Hedgeman scored a season high 21 points, grabbed five rebounds, and had three steals. Willie Warren finished with 14 points and four rebounds for the Fire.
Jahmal McMurray again led the reserves as he scored 18 points to go along with seven assists and four rebounds. Also off the bench, Jeremiah Gilliam scored 15 points while Cam Williams scored 13. Isaiah Wade finished with nine points but led the team with 12 rebounds on the night.

“I’ve already said it a few times, but we have a very deep team,” said Dannhoff. “All of our players could start for just about any other team in TBL but they have come here to achieve something bigger than themselves. You see that unselfishness every game. They are all cheering for each other’s success and prioritize winning over everything else.”
Up next, the Fire will face the Little Rock Lightning on Friday, March 20th. That game will tipoff at 7 PM inside FireLake Arena. You can watch a live stream of the game at tbltv.tv or listen live on KGFF Radio (100.9 FM/1450 AM).
