SHAWNEE, OK – The Potawatomi Fire took Game 1 in the Central Conference Finals with a commanding 130-108 victory over the ADS Sentinels. The win was also the Fire’s 40th consecutive victory overall and 64 straight wins at home.
“I was proud with the way we played tonight,” said Fire head coach Mark Dannhoff. “I thought we came out a little slow in the first quarter but then we turned it around the second and played really well after that.”
Several Fire players had big games. K.D. Moore scored 36 points on 15 of 16 shooting from the field to lead the Fire. Chuck Guy recorded his fourth triple-double of the season finishing with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists. Off the bench, Isaiah Wade recorded his 7th double-double of the year finishing with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
“We got contributions from everyone, but those three guys were really good tonight,” said Dannhoff. “K.D. was fantastic tonight and did a great job getting to the rim. Isaiah was again great off the bench for us. He’s so active on both ends of the floor. What else can you say about Chuck? He’s just so good and gives whatever we need that night.”
Other players to finish in double figures were Ricardo Artis II and Cam Williams. Artis finished with 23 points while Williams finished with 14 points and five rebounds off the bench.
