SHAWNEE, OK – Potawatomi Fire head coach Mark Dannhoff is the 2024 TBL Coach of the Year.

Dannhoff was presented with the award on Saturday, June 15th prior to the Fire’s 120-96 win over the Los Angeles Ignite.

“I’m very honored to win this award,” said Dannhoff. “There are a lot of good coaches in this league and to win this award twice is a big honor.”

Dannhoff, who is in his second season with the Fire, made history becoming the first ever two-time winner of the TBL Coach of the Year award. Dannhoff also won the award in 2023 as he led the Fire to their first TBL championship.

“I’ve always said that these awards are team awards,” said Dannhoff. “I wouldn’t be in the position with the guys on the court. They come in every day and practice and prepare. Beyond that, the relationships we build over the season is what will always stay with me. These guys are more than great players. They are great men, great fathers, and great husbands. I proud of who they are and that I get to coach them.”

Dannhoff led the Fire to a historic season in 2024. The Fire finished the regular season 20-0, becoming the first TBL team to finish the regular season undefeated. Including the postseason, Dannhoff has the led the Fire to a 26-0 record. In his three seasons as a TBL head coach, Dannhoff is 78-10, including a 55-4 record with the Fire.
