The Potawatomi Fire are excited to announce the signing of Charles Lampten for The Basketball League’s (TBL) 2025 season.

Lampten, a 6-11 center originally from Cameroon, played collegiately at Dawson Community College and College of Charleston before finishing his collegiate career at Western Carolina. This will be Lampten’s first professional experience.

“I’m excited that Charles decided to join the Fire this season,” said Fire General Manager David Qualls. “For a young player, he is skilled, and I am confident fans will enjoy watching him dunk over guys on the offensive end and block shots on defense. Charles is also a positive person who you can tell loves the game of basketball.”

“I’m optimistic about what Charles can bring to the Fire,” said two-time TBL Coach of the Year Mark Dannhoff. “His combination of size, athleticism, and drive should give us a major boost on both ends of the floor. Charles is a strong rim protector who can not only disrupt our opponent’s offense but also inspire confidence in his teammates, knowing they have someone who can guard the paint. It’s exciting to think about how his impact could elevate our team defense and overall performance this season.”

Prior to his time in college, Lampten played high school basketball at Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club, Texas.

The two-time defending TBL champion Potawatomi Fire will begin their 2025 TBL season on March 2nd when they visit the Little Rock Lightning. The Fire will open their home schedule on March 8th when they host the Western Oklahoma Skykings.

Season tickets are currently on sale and individual game tickets are set to go on sale on February 3rd.
