The Potawatomi Fire have re-signed The Basketball League’s only three-time champion, Paul Harrison, for the upcoming 2025 season.
Harrison, a 6-9 forward from Alpharetta, Georgia, has won the TBL Championship every year he has played in TBL. He won his first championship in 2022 with the Shreveport Mavericks before winning back-to-back titles with the Fire in 2023 and 2024.
“Paul is a true professional and just knows how to win,” said Fire General Manager David Qualls. “He is a leader in the locker room, and we are excited to have him for a full season. Paul is not only a great player, but he is also a good man, husband, and father.”
“I am very excited to have Paul back,” said Fire head coach, and two-time TBL Coach of the Year, Mark Dannhoff. “Paul has been a crucial player for our team the past two seasons. His versatility is a game changer for our offense. Paul’s experience, knowledge, and selflessness fit perfectly with what we do and who we are.”
Last year, in just 11 games with the Fire, Harrison averaged 18.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. He shot 59.4% from the field, hit 22.2% of his threes, and knocked down 88.1% of his field goals. Prior to joining the Fire toward the end of the 2024 season, Harrison played in the Basketball Super League (Canada) for the Sudbury 5 and Windsor Express.
Beyond his TBL experience, Harrison has played professionally around the world, with stops in Argentina, Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Tunisia, and Uruguay.
The Fire will begin their 2025 TBL season in late February or early March. Individual game tickets and season tickets will be on sale soon.
